Highlights of this version

  • Zoom like Chrome. The − 100% + buttons at the top right, Ctrl + / Ctrl - / Ctrl+0 or Ctrl + mouse wheel make the whole interface bigger or smaller, from 25% to 300%. The level is remembered.
  • Keep working while files are copied. Copy, move, delete, pack and unpack (zip and .nik) run as operations you can send to the Background (F2): the progress window moves to the bottom right, can be dragged anywhere, and Nikkomander stays fully usable. Several operations can run at the same time. Pause and Cancel work at any time.
  • A new multi-rename tool (Ctrl+M), like Total Commander's: name and extension masks, character ranges, counter, file date and time, search and replace with wildcards or regular expressions, upper/lowercase, a live preview, saved settings and Undo.
  • Total Commander Black, a new flat black skin made for clarity.
  • Keep both on name conflicts. When a copy or move finds a file with the same name, Keep both (key B) keeps the existing file and gives the new copy a free numbered name, the way Windows does: report.pdf becomes report (1).pdf, then report (2).pdf. A (1) already in the name is replaced, not stacked, and photos.tar.gz becomes photos (1).tar.gz. Keep both for all (key F) does the same for every following conflict. Packing onto an existing archive name offers the same choice.
  • This user guide is built in, with screenshots, in all ten languages: the Guide button at the top right, Help > User guide, or Shift+F1.
  • The skin window stays open while you browse. Click or use Up/Down to preview a skin. Only Keep this skin, Cancel or the cross closes the window.
  • Every skin has its own font, bundled with the app, so it also works offline.
  • NikPak .nik archives can be created with a compression level, from Store to Maximum. Your last choice is remembered.
